The educator is present to ensure the health and safety of the children. Their main task is to support and accompany the children in their development. The educator observes the children in their group daily, in order to better understand their abilities, needs, interests, and challenges. Observations will allow the educator to better organize the environment and material, plan suitable activities and intervene adequately with everyone. The educators continuous training will give them the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to understand the level of development of each child and to adapt their interventions. The collaboration they develop with the parents of each family will help better understand each child and create a long-lasting bond with them. All this will promote the harmonious development of the child, leading them to develop a feeling of security which will allow the child to learn through play.

The Board of directors’ is a committee elected by the general assembly. The law entrusts the board of directors with the responsibility of administering the corporation and making all necessary decisions. It is the board of directors who determine the priorities and objectives of the CPE, form committees and determine their mandate as well as adopt policies and budgets. Internal management is entrusted, to a person hired by the board of directors, and given the title of director of the CPE.

The Executive Director coordinates all the operations of the CPE. She ensures that everything is in accordance with the laws and regulations and that the well-being of the children is always assured. She organizes meetings and welcomes parents from the start to the end of their child’s preschool journey. She maintains links with the community by participating in various committees.

The Accounting clerk supports management in administrative tasks. She also welcomes the parents and guides them on the financial aspect related to their file and payments.

The Educational advisor accompanies the educators in applying the educational program. She supports them in their daily interventions with the children. She also greets parents and answers their various questions and collaborates with the various professionals.

The cook develops and prepares the menus according to the guidelines of Canada’s Food guide and a nutritionist. She communicates with various suppliers to ensure the freshness of the produce being delivered. She also collaborates with the educators and the educational advisor to ensure that all food allergies or intolerances are respected for each child.
